HOW TO CHANGE MX RECORDS FOR EMAIL SERVER

  • Login to Cpanel using credentials provided by Truehost
  • Under mail section click MX Entry
  • Select the specific domain name from the drop list
  • Under ‘Add new records’ enter mail.thedomainname.com for the destination value
  • Click the “Add New Record” button
  • Go to Cpanel name home and click simple DNS Editor icon
  • Select the same domain from the drop-down
  • Under "Add an A Record", enter mail.thedomainname.com in the "Name" field.
  • In the "Address" field, enter the other server's IP address.
  • Click the "Add A Record" button.
